Independent technologist · 8+ years in tech
I’ve been around computers my whole life and inside technology companies for 8+ years — as a CTO through exit, a consultant, and an operator where tech meets finance. Bring me the problem. I’ll find the right fix, and usually build it too.
Our website is slow and nobody here can update it.
Yes. Rebuild it on something your team can edit.
We re-type every order into three different systems.
Yes. Connect them and retire the busywork.
We need a CTO, but we can’t hire one yet.
Yes. Fractional, until the right hire lands.
What’s yours?01 — How I help
An afternoon or a year, a laptop or a platform. Here’s a sample of what people bring me — in their words, then mine.
“Our site is slow, dated, and nobody can update it.”
→ Redesigns and rebuilds, hosting, SEO and accessibility basics, and a CMS your team will actually use.
“We need an app — or a portal, or a tool — that doesn’t exist yet.”
→ Web and mobile apps, customer portals and internal tools, built around how you really work.
“We copy the same data between five systems by hand.”
→ Connect the tools you already pay for, automate the busywork, and stop the copy-paste errors.
“I can’t get a straight number out of our own data.”
→ Clean pipelines, dashboards people trust, and financial and operational reporting that adds up.
“Everyone says we should ‘use AI.’ Where, exactly?”
→ Find the use cases that pay off, prototype them on your real work, and skip the hype.
“Our setup is held together with tape, and the bill keeps growing.”
→ Sound cloud architecture, cost clean-ups, backups that restore, and sensible access and security.
“Email, laptops, logins, licences — it’s all a bit of a mess.”
→ Workspace set-up, picking the right software, smooth onboarding and offboarding, sane permissions.
“We need a CTO, but it’s too early to hire one.”
→ Fractional CTO: roadmap, architecture, MVP launch, hiring and investor-ready tech diligence.
“Our developer vanished and the project is stuck.”
→ Code and vendor reviews, a plain-English diagnosis, then stabilise it and get it moving again.
Odds are I’ve done it, or something close. And if I’m not the right person, I’ll tell you — and point you to who is.

Please contact03 — About me
I’ve been taking computers apart, building things on them and fixing them for friends for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked in technology professionally since 2018, in and out of technology companies — including as CTO of a climate tech company through to its exit, as a consultant, and in roles where technology meets finance. That range is the point: I’ve seen problems from the server room, the boardroom and the spreadsheet.
04 — Why one person
No hand-offs between a designer, a developer and “the IT guy.” I see how the pieces connect.
You’ll always know what I’m doing, why, and what it costs.
If an off-the-shelf tool or a smaller fix will do, I’ll say so before you spend.
Every recommendation ties back to cost, revenue or risk — not tech for its own sake.
Your turn
Tell me what’s going on in a sentence or two. I’ll reply personally within 2 business days with a straight answer — even if that answer is someone else.
